John Bamford Primary

remote learning

At The John Bamford Primary School we are committed to providing a quality education for all children whilst most are unable to attend school. We recognise the challenges that families are facing at these difficult times and we are continuing to support and prioritise the wellbeing of children, parents and carers. The way our curriculum has been planned is to allow children to continue to learn from our long term curriculum plans by appropriate activities planned by the class teachers and shared online via Class Dojo or See Saw (Key stage dependent, please see more information via link below). The way our home learning has been planned is to enable children to access their home learning when appropriate for them and their families and to minimise pressure on both children and parents. As a school we recognise the importance of communication and personalised learning for each individual child and encourage regular communication with children and parents via Class Dojo or a phone call.

Supporting Your Child With Remote Education

Letter from Staffordshire County Council

We understand that you may have some queries about your child's return to school. Please rest assured that we will continue to, as we always have, keep your child as safe as possible while in school. If your child or anyone in your household has developed symptoms of Covid-19 please do not send them to school. Please inform the office by telephoning on 01889 228689. Please follow Government guidelines on self isolation.  If staff are concerned about your child developing symptoms during the school day, your child will be moved, with a member of staff, to a separate room where they will be cared for until you can collect them. If you do receive a telephone call from school, please arrive at the school gates promptly and call us to let us know you have arrived. We will ask that your child is tested for Covid-19 and does not return to school if the test is positive. If we have reports of a child or a member of staff testing positive, the bubble that they belong to will need to self isolate following Government guidelines. Home learning will be provided by the class teachers in their year group.
