Welcome to Early Years at The John Bamford Primary School. In our Early Years we have a highly experienced team of practitioners who are passionate about your child’s development and the quality of care and education we provide.

We are special at The John Bamford Primary School because our team work together to not only enable our children to learn but we also support each other in becoming the best that we can be. Through reflective practice and continued professional development, our Early Years setting goes from strength to strength.

We have a community of wonderful children, a committed team and families who are supportive and engaged in school life. We would love you to visit and meet the inspiring staff, feel the warmth of The John Bamford community and view our amazing environment.

    Hello, my name is Ms Troman and I am delighted to be a member of the Early Years team at John Bamford Primary School. I have worked within the school for the past 19 years and my present role is as a Play Leader in the Nursery. I have two children, Jack is a Naval Officer and Emily is a primary school teacher. In my spare time I enjoy shopping and going for long walks up the chase with my little white dog, "Oskar".

    Miss C. Bushnell

    Hi I'm Miss Bushnell and I have worked at JB Tots since 2017. As a fully qualified and experienced practitioner, I dedicate my time within nursery as a positive role model to all of the children. I love working with children and feel privileged to be a part of the foundations of their lives and putting a smile on their faces as we go through this journey. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

    Mrs C. Williams

    Hi my name is Mrs Williams and I am a Play Worker in the nursery at The John Bamford School. I have worked at the school for 4 years. I have a 12 year old son who used to attend the school which is how I started by helping out on school trips and started a casual position in the Nursery. I absolutely love to see the children learning, playing and having fun and knowing that they have had a good day at Nursery is a pleasure to see.

    Mrs P. Riley

    Hi, my name is Mrs Riley. I have been working as a nursery assistant at John Bamford for 18 months. My previous experience with children has been in a variety of different settings, which range from nursery to secondary schools. I love to work with younger children as I can watch their personalities and independence grow. I enjoy encouraging their curiosity and creating new experiences in their learning journey.

    Hi, I'm Miss Hall and I work in the JB Tots and nursery. I love working with young children as well as being a mum to my 2 year old daughter. I have a level 3 NVQ in Childcare and in my spare time, I like to bake for my friends and family.

    Hi, my name is Mrs Richards I have a level 3 NVQ in children's care, learning and development and I've been at JB Tots since 2011. I have worked with children all of my working life, first as a dance teacher and then moving into education. I enjoy working in the Nursery supporting the children in their own development, watching as they grow as every day is different. I have been married for 30 years and have four grown up children and three grandchildren.

    Hi, I'm Miss Hill. I have worked in childcare for 6 years now and have enjoyed every minute! After my time working within different nurseries, I decided to return to education. I am now a student at University Studying my BA honours Primary Education Degree alongside working with the children and team here at John Bamford. On the weekend I am a Vocal, Dance and Acting teacher for students aged 3 to 18.

    Hi, my name is Mrs Brookes, and I have worked at JB Tots and nursery since 2019. I have gained twenty years of experience of working with children, as a qualified practitioner. I enjoy being a part of each child's development and enjoy watching them succeed. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Â

    Miss A. Pavier-Grant

    Hi I’m Miss Pavier-Grant. I hold a qualification in supporting teaching and learning. I have worked at JB Tots and Nursery Since April 2022. I love working with children and watching them develop everyday. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my 2 children, going on fun days out and to our caravan in Wales.
